I got my ultrasound results last week and found out I’m having a little baby boy!! I’m am so thrilled to become a mommy :o) He was as healthy and happy as ever – quite the little squirmer as well! I feel him moving around in there quite a bit and he was putting on quite the show for the ultrasound – so amazing. I’ve already started decorating the nursery and am working on a collection of illustrations to frame in his room :o)

Another week has flown by! It’s been pretty hard keeping up with all my work while trying to set up a new home, entertaining guests, and preparing for a baby! Can’t say that I’m complaining, as all of these things are just wonderful – but I find myself falling a bit behind with Illustration Friday. I’m not sure I’ll have time to make a post this week but I thought in order to make up for it, I’d have another card giveaway (something I’ve been wanting to do anyway)!
I was very flattered by the number of you that participated last time so I want to give you all another chance to win :o) This giveaway is open to anyone – worldwide! Wow, things are still really busy around here but I did manage to do a quick submission for Illustration Friday. It’s so difficult to get back on track after taking almost 2 weeks off! I’m still working to get on top of all the assignments that piled up during this time!
I’ve been wanting to practice drawing monkeys for an upcoming project. Any thoughts on this little guy?

On a more exciting note, I have my ultrasound in just over a week and I can’t wait to find out whether I’m having a little boy or girl (hopefully they can tell!). I’ll definitely keep you posted on the news! Have a great weekend!
Rachelle is a mother of two little boys and works part time as a children's illustrator. Her work can be seen in children's books, greeting cards, craft supplies, children's room decor, and more! Rachelle's art has been featured in various international magazines and websites. Her boys inspire her work tremendously and her husband is her emotional (and technical!) support she needs to make it all happen!
