I’m still playing around with my monkey character for an upcoming project and thought I’d show you some of my recent sketches. Which one is your favorite? :o)

Another week has flown by! It’s been pretty hard keeping up with all my work while trying to set up a new home, entertaining guests, and preparing for a baby! Can’t say that I’m complaining, as all of these things are just wonderful - but I find myself falling a bit behind with Illustration Friday. I’m not sure I’ll have time to make a post this week but I thought in order to make up for it, I’d have another card giveaway (something I’ve been wanting to do anyway)!

I was very flattered by the number of you that participated last time so I want to give you all another chance to win :o) This giveaway is open to anyone - worldwide! Wow, things are still really busy around here but I did manage to do a quick submission for Illustration Friday. It’s so difficult to get back on track after taking almost 2 weeks off! I’m still working to get on top of all the assignments that piled up during this time!

I’ve been wanting to practice drawing monkeys for an upcoming project. Any thoughts on this little guy?

On a more exciting note, I have my ultrasound in just over a week and I can’t wait to find out whether I’m having a little boy or girl (hopefully they can tell!). I’ll definitely keep you posted on the news! Have a great weekend!

I’m finally somewhat back to my normal life! The move went very well and things are really starting to come together :o) Once the house isn’t such a mess, I’ll post some photos! It’s so nice to have a brand new house. My hubby and I have been in teeny apartments for so long that it’s quite the luxury to have all this space.

I plan to start my regular work week on Monday and will be continuing my Illustration Friday posts starting next Friday! In the meantime, I thought I’d share an artist I discovered with you - Samuel Ribeyron. He has some absolutely incredible work on his website and has illustrated several beautiful books. His site is in French so I don’t understand much of what is written, but his work needs no explanation! I love the flower/pattern details, beautiful use of colour, and exquisite composition. Each illustration is incredible! I’ve only posted a few here, but you must take a look at his portfolio to see all of his work - there are so many wonderful pieces!

I’m excited to get back to my art and look forward to chatting with you all this coming week! Take care!

This week’s Illustration Friday topic is worry. This immediately made me think of moving next weekend! Even though I am so excited about the move and looking forward to the future, all the little details in moving can definitely make a girl worry!

I also have to note that I probably won’t be posting for the next two weeks. We have the move and then my good friend is coming up for a visit. It’ll be nice to take a bit of a break from work :o) I’ll be sure to post again as soon as I can! Have a great week!

I’m excited to announce that you can now get a sneak peak of my brand new stamp collection with STAMPAVIE! Here are a couple card samples I sent to a card company. I’m still working with this company to come up with a children’s birthday collection but these two didn’t make the cut! I just thought I’d share them with you because they didn’t want to be filed away without seeing the light of day!

I’ve been working on a number of projects and ideas for upcoming work so I’m hoping to share as much as possible with you. Most of the good/accepted work can’t be seen until it’s been produced but I’m always happy to share my process or rejected work! ;0)

Wow I can’t believe I’m already into my second week at home! Time flies when you’re having fun! :o)

I’ve really been wanting to make more posts/fun illustrations during the week but things have just been so busy - but don’t worry, I’m right on the ball when it comes to Illustration Friday ;) I guess I’m just catching up from all the work piled up while I was working a full time job. My hubby and I are also moving into our brand new house at the end of the month! So I’ve been packing and planning in my spare time. This is our first house so it’s pretty exciting - the construction started last year, so we’ve been waiting a while to move in! Click here to view a few progress photos.

On another note, now that I’m a new mama-to-be, I’ve been browsing the internet for cute baby stuff. There is so much darling stuff out there, I think I might go broke on softies alone - hehe! My mom told me she bought some cute little booties from a company called Kaloo. She said they were soo soft and cute, and she just knew I’d love them. I immediately googled them to come across their website. What a lovely company! Their toys and furniture are not only gorgeous, soft, and precious but also so inspirational! I love being inspired by softies - I’ll just have to design my own line one of these days. I’ve attached a few photos below, but feel free to browse their website - and they also have a fun games section!
