New Prints Available!

Published in: Cards, Illustration, Link, Store with 17 comments

Along with getting my portfolio together this New Year, I’m also working on updating my online store at ImageKind. I’ve uploaded these latest prints to my store. I’d love to see these printed on canvas! If you’re interested in purchasing a print or having them printed on canvas, both options are available at ImageKind. Prices start at $36.23 for canvases, $18.25 for prints, and $4.99 for greeting cards.

I’m also looking into selling some of my artwork locally. I’d really like to find a great quality and priced canvas printer (either locally or online) so I can print these two pieces on canvas and sell them at local baby boutiques. These illustrations would work so well for a nursery or children’s room! I’d really like to get my act together this year and start selling some of my work locally. Does anyone know of a good online canvas printer? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

In the meantime, feel free to pop on over to my ImageKind store and take a look at my latest prints for sale. Also, if you’re ever interested in purchasing a print of an illustration that is not available at ImageKind, let me know and I’ll make some arrangements for you :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Illustration Friday: Pale

Published in: Design, Illustration, Illustration Friday, Portfolio with 28 comments

In this bitterly cold winter, I’m really missing the pale, pretty colours of spring! Click here to rate this illustration.

It’s great to get back to illustrating! This illustration was just for fun but lately I’ve been working on updating my portfolio. I have a lot of one-off illustrations that work well for products, greeting cards, or prints but I’m really interested in getting into children’s book illustration. I’ve decided to start working on some book layouts to add to my portfolio in order to branch off into this area!

I’ve decided to illustrate a few spreads in the book, ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ by Sam McBratney. It’s one of my favorite children’s books so I thought it’d be fun to do. I’ve just started some character development sketches so I’ll be posting those once my characters are established. Then I’ll work on the page layouts and start my sketches. I’ll keep you posted on my progress. Have a great weekend!

Inspiration: Shaun the Sheep

Published in: Inspiration, Link, Personal with 21 comments

Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday season :) I decided to take a couple months off in order to spend some time with Isaac but now that it’s the New Year, I’d like to get back to work. I know things are going to be quite different though – I used to have all day to work and now I have an hour here and there. It’s going to be different but I wouldn’t change it for the world! Isaac is such a wonderful baby and I love spending time with him :)

Over the holidays, my mom introduced me to Shaun the Sheep. He’s the subject of this inspiration post! Now many of you may already be aware of Shaun the Sheep but being from Canada and not having any kids until now, I am not the most familiar with children’s programming. This show is from the UK and has the cutest characters and story lines. You can view an episode here.

“Peace in the valley turns into mayhem in the meadow as Shaun leads his flock into all sorts of scrapes and scraps, running rings around sheepdog Bitzer when the Farmer’s back is turned.” www.shaunthesheep.com

On another note, I’ve also included Isaac’s two month photo! He now weighs 14.8lbs and measures almost 26 inches! I can’t believe how big he is for two months… I think I’m going to have to get him into basketball or something ;)

I hope to be back to posting for Illustration Friday and making lots of new illustrations. I’ll keep you posted on any new projects I’m working on and also be posting about some new stamps coming your way very soon!

Thanks for stopping by!
