I’m happy to announce that the new spring 2009 stamp collection has been released and will be shipping to stores April 1st! This was such an exciting collection to work on. You’ll find a few of my favorite illustrations turned into stamps, as well as some new designs (see below for 3 of the 10 new stamps). Spring is in the air and I hope you will all enjoy my spring chickens and soft bunnies :) I’d love to hear your feedback on this collection!

On another note, I brought Isaac swimming today and he absolutely loved it! He’s always loved his bath so I assumed he’d love swimming. He kicked and splashed around for almost an hour (with me holding him of course!) I’ll have to post his 4 and 5 month photo in the next week. Wow! I can’t believe he’s 5 months already!!

I think we’ve all had enough of the snow and cold weather so I’ve freshened up my blog banner with a new illustration. I would have LOVED to have created a new one for spring but my little buddy hasn’t given me enough time to get my basic work done – let alone any extra work! I thought it’d be fitting to put a little guy in my header so if you’re ever wondering why I haven’t posted in a while, he can be a little reminder ;) I’ve updated my own desktop wallpaper with this new image, and if you’re interested in doing the same, you can download the new wallpaper here. So far I’m managing to get three 1/2 hours naps out of him during the day so this is the time I scramble to get any work done. Sometimes he’ll let me work while he plays on his own, but most of the time, he wants his mommy!

I read a couple posts the other day where artists are showing photos of their work spaces. I thought this might be a fun idea seeing as I just set up a little play corner in my work space! Below you’ll see photos of my desk and computer where all the magic happens and a special little corner just for Isaac! Before Isaac, I had a small sectional next to my desk but I decided to remove it so he could play next to mommy while she works! I set up a few play mats and decorated the wall with Melissa Sweet alphabet cards. Melissa is an amazing children’s illustrator! Her cards are so sweet! You can check out her website here.

We’re going through a teething period at our household right now so not much is getting accomplished! The only thing that distracts him from his pain is the Jolly Jumper! Hopefully a tooth will pop through or his pain will subside! Hope you’re all doing well – thanks for stopping by :)
