I celebrated 2 years of blogging last Saturday and can’t believe how my career has evolved since the beginning. Starting this blog has brought forth many new work opportunities, along with many new friends :) One of these work opportunities has been designing stamps. I’ve released a fair amount of designs in the past year and am so happy with their great success. Lily and Milo have been wonderfully welcomed into the stamping world.
This brings me to introducing you to a potential new stamp character – Abigail. She is older than Lily and Milo and brings a bit of style and sophistication to the table :) I am interested to hear your thoughts of her. What do you think of having an older character? What are some things you’d like to see her doing? I’m gearing up to work on a new collection so this is your chance to get your ideas out there!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by :)

Stampavie and I are trying out a new style of stamp that will be released very soon! I’ve posted one of the examples here. At first glance, it may appear very similar to my other stamps but the lines of this stamp are more free-flowing and natural. I’ve been experimenting with my line quality and feel that I’ve acheived a stamp outline that is much truer to my illustrating style. I love my work being free, light, and uncontrolled and I think that I’ve come close to acheiving that in my stamps. There are only a couple designs released for now to see how everyone likes them :) The stamps can’t be purchased yet, but I’d love to hear your feedback on what you think of the ‘new style’ and whether you think you’ll prefer this to my original style. I am still planning on releasing designs in the original style but thought it might be fun to spice things up a little!
You can view all the new stamp releases here. I’ve also created some fun accessory stamps in my original style. There is a birthday theme, garden theme, and more! Now you’ll be able to mix and match the stamps and create scenes. Let me know what you think of the accessories :)
On another note, Isaac is turning 1 in under 2 months and I have some birthday planning to do! I can’t believe he’s almost a year. Any suggestions for a 1st birthday party theme?

Claudia Rosa over at Pretty Pressings has made a beautiful card and box set with a few of my new spring stamps. I wanted to post these to show how she’s made them into a themed collection for a baby boy. The colour scheme is just perfect and all the details works so nicely together. I love when people appreciate the presentation of a gift as much as the gift itself – lovely! Thanks for sharing these with me, Claudia!

I’m happy to announce that the new spring 2009 stamp collection has been released and will be shipping to stores April 1st! This was such an exciting collection to work on. You’ll find a few of my favorite illustrations turned into stamps, as well as some new designs (see below for 3 of the 10 new stamps). Spring is in the air and I hope you will all enjoy my spring chickens and soft bunnies :) I’d love to hear your feedback on this collection!
You can view all new 10 designs at www.stampavie.com/rachelle-anne-miller-c-18.html (just look for the ‘NEW’ text at the top of the title). I look forward to hearing what you think of the new collection and if you have any ideas for future stamps. I always take notes from your suggestions so you might end up seeing on of your ideas in a future set!
On another note, I brought Isaac swimming today and he absolutely loved it! He’s always loved his bath so I assumed he’d love swimming. He kicked and splashed around for almost an hour (with me holding him of course!) I’ll have to post his 4 and 5 month photo in the next week. Wow! I can’t believe he’s 5 months already!!
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment!
