Illustration Friday: Punchline

Wow, things are still really busy around here but I did manage to do a quick submission for Illustration Friday. It’s so difficult to get back on track after taking almost 2 weeks off! I’m still working to get on top of all the assignments that piled up during this time!

I’ve been wanting to practice drawing monkeys for an upcoming project. Any thoughts on this little guy?

On a more exciting note, I have my ultrasound in just over a week and I can’t wait to find out whether I’m having a little boy or girl (hopefully they can tell!). I’ll definitely keep you posted on the news! Have a great weekend!

    very cute!! I like that he sucks his thumb and here is a confession for you I did that until I was about 10 years old!! Bad habit I guess,
    so I had to wear braces because of it!

    As always, I have to say that I admire your style. The monkey is so cute. I’ve been just thinking whether he wouldn’t look even more “monkeyish” if his hands had five fingers, but then it wouldn’t be exactly your style, would it?

    Tusen - good point about the hands! I actually considered giving him fingers but like you said, I was thinking I’d like to keep him more consistent to my style. Something to think about though! Thanks again!
