Unlikely Friends: ‘Starry Night’
Thank you for all your suggestions on what these little guys should get up to in the next couple drawings! I now have a lot of ideas to work from - the creative juices are flowing!
I felt too guilty trying to tie this into this week’s Illustration Friday topic of ‘Sugary’! I don’t think I can make that big of a stretch! lol Here is the completed version of my second (in a series of four) of Unlikely Friends, entitled ‘Starry Night’. I’m hoping to continue the trend of having a sketch completed one week and having it coloured the next. Let me know what you think of this week’s illustration! Click here to rate it!
My mom is arriving all the way from Australia tonight to help us with the baby for the next 3 months! I’m soooo excited to see her as I haven’t seen her in two years! There’s only a month left until my due date so there’s a lot to get done before my little one makes an appearance. I’m hoping to keep up with my blog as much as possible during these busy times but please bare with me if I disappear here and there! I’ll be making lots of adjustments to my schedule now and in the future, but I’ll be sure to keep you posted on how everything is going!

Oh Rachelle, I think “the stars hung from the sky in sugary sweetness” would have worked! Super cute illo as always, it would look great in my toddler’s room on canvas :)

I love this picture and the other one in the set. I would love a it as a 8×8 canvas. I would put them in my 1yr olds room when we move into our new house. Ive never been able to have a nursery for my boys as we havent had the rooms :(
