Hi friends! Today’s card features Animal Tree by Rachelle Anne Miller. This beautiful illustration is perfect for a holiday card!
Card Panel Window and Background
I used MFT’s Watercolor Wash Free Form Die-namics to cut out an A2 card panel. Then, I turned the panel around and added foam tape along the edges.
I cut another A2 size panel out of white card stock using the largest die from Waffle Flower’s A2 Layers Dies. Next, I used Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass over Lawn Fawn’s Hillside Stencil to create a snowy hill. Then, I covered the hill using the same stencil and used Salvaged Patina over Lawn Fawn’s Cloudy Stencil to create a cloud background.
Coloring Image
I measured the opening on the card panel and sized the digital image so it would fit inside the opening. Next, I printed out the image using my laser printer. Then, I used my Brother Scan-N-Cut to cut it out. I used the following Copic markers to color the image:
Bunny: W1, W0, W00
Bunny Tail: C00
Squirrels: E42, E41, E40
Cheeks/Ears: R20, R00
Red: R27, R24, R22
Green: G28, G24, G21
Yellow: Y15, Y13, Y00
Finishing Card
I stamped a sentiment from MFT’s Happy Pawlidays stamp set onto black card stock using Versamark ink. Then, I sprinkled white embossing powder over the ink and ran my heat tool over it. I cut it out into a strip and attached it to the front of the card with foam tape. Next, I added Pretty Pink Posh Clear Jewels over the background. I finished the card by attaching the card panel to a top folding card base.
