Hey guys, how are you? Today, I’ve got a YouTube video up on the RAM Stamps YouTube channel, sharing how I made this birthday card for my nieces, with the new Happy Birthday Creator digital stamps! To create my card, I copied and pasted the girl from the “Characters” digital stamp into a Word document, then did the same again, but “flipped” the image, so it was a mirror of the first. I then added two balloons from the “Balloons” digital stamp, and the number 9 from the “Numbers” stamp. That’s what I love about the Creator releases – there are so many individual elements that you can put together in any combination you like to create an individual scene.
I coloured my images with Copics. The second girl has the same colours as the first, but in reverse – ie, where the first girl has a pink skirt and blue top, the second has a blue skirt and pink top etc – but all the same Copic shades have been used:
Pinks: RV25, RV23, RV21 (polka dots also have RV29)
Blues: B05, B02, B00
Skin: E13, E11, E000, R20
Hair: E25, E23, E21
Tights: B05
Shoes: R35, R22, R11
Balloons: B37, B34, B32
Flower: R20, R22
I used my RAM Stamps copic swatch chart to help me choose colours that would tie in with one of the papers from the Happy Birthday digital paper pack – I highly recommend it!
I die cut my image using Pink & Main’s Stitched rectangle dies, and also cut a an A2 panel from the patterned paper pack using the same stitched die. I then trimmed a small strip from each end and glued it to my coloured panel.
To finish the card, I added a pre-made sentiment strip with some thin foam tape.
