Hi everyone! I realize we are in the midst of summer, but I came across this Gingerbread Couple stamp and I just had to create a Christmas card! I went with soft pinks and purples, making it non-traditional color wise. I love the result, and did not mind at all creating this on a warm summer day!
First I printed the Gingerbread Couple digital stamp on Perfect Colouring paper. After printing, I colored the image with my Copic markers:
- RV000, R81, R83, R85
- BV0000, BV00, BV02, BV04
- E35, E33, E31, E30
After coloring I fussy cut the image with Cutter Bee scissors and added a bit of glitter with Stickles Frosted Lace.
For the background I used a fun technique where you combine 2 stencils by layering them on top of each other. The first is the MFT Watercolor Wash stencil, and the other is the Geo Snowflake stencil (discontinued) from Sugarpea designs. I first applied a light layer of Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy and Shaded Lilac. After that, I put the second stencil on top, and applied the ink with a slightly heavier hand. This way you get a beautiful pattern, without it being too harsh.
On the cardbase I adhered pattern paper from the Rainbow Ever After paper pack, and top I adhered the ink blended panel with the gingerbread couple.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
