Happy Birthday Creator by Miriam

Hi crafty friends, I am delighted to be back with another card featuring some great products from the RAM Stamps April release. Have you had a chance to head over the the website to check out the new release yet? If not, I encourage you to, it really is a great release. Today I am using a few new digital images to create this fun birthday card for a special someone turning 5. This card will be sent to my super gorgeous great-nephew who is turning 5 later in the year! Let’s get started on today’s card…..

I started off by playing around with the images and creating a little scene using the little bot, a balloon and the number 5. I resized the images to make the number 5 stand out. I then printed the image and coloured with my Copic markers, once dry I added some white gel pen highlights to the cheeks on the little boy. I fussy cut the image and set it aside whilst I worked on the background.

I die cut a panel of 80lb Neenah card stock using the MFT Rectangle Stitched Die-Namics and then started the ink blending. For this I used the MFT Water Color Wash Free Form Stencil with Mowed Lawn and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. I then splattered the panel with water to create a reaction with the ink and lastly splattered with white gouache and Mowed Lawn ink.

I added the panel to a navy card base using foam tape and then added the image. Lastly, I printed the sentiment and cut it half, adding the sentiment to different areas of the card.

That completes the card for today. I hope you might be inspired to get creative using this new release and create a card for someone special in your world!

Thanks again for visiting…… xx
