Every year. I have good intentions of getting my Christmas cards started early, so I won’t end up with a last minute panic in November AGAIN… well, this year, Rachelle Anne Miller stamps is sponsoring the Build Your Stash “Spring into Christmas” Linky Party, so I thought I’d join in! Here’s the link if you’d like to follow along or join in – there’s lots of prizes on offer from the different sponsors!

For my card, I chose the “Nativity” Christmas stamp by RAM Stamps, which is so beautiful. I copied the image into Word, then printed it on to Transotype Perfect Coloring Paper with my Canon 8300 printer.
To colour the image, I used Copics in the following shades:
Joseph: Skin E13/E21/E00, Hair: C5/C3/C1, Clothes: E33/E42/E41, BG18/BG75/BG72
Mary: Skin: E35/E33/E53, Hair: E49/E47/E44, Clothes: V09, B39/B37/B34/B32
Baby: Skin: E13/E21/E00, Hair: E49/E47/E44, Blanket: B02/B01/B000
Donkey: E47/E44/E42
Straw: Y26/Y23
Basket: E33/E53/E51
Sheep: W3/W1/W0, EOO/E000
Star: Y17/Y15/Y13
Gloves; E33/E53/E42
I added highlights with a white Gelly Roll .08 pen.
For my background, I die cut an A2 panel using Pink & Main’s stitched rectangle dies, and ink blended some Concord and 9th colours from the bottom, fading out towards the top (Aqua Sky and Oceanside), To add interest and texture, I added a few white dots with my gel pen, and some teal dots with a Copic marker (BG72).
I stamped my sentiment in the top right, from The Greeting Farm’s “Peace on Earth” mini stamp set. I fussy cut my images, added them with foam tape, then placed the entire panel on to an A2 card base.
I hope this inspired you to get crafting for Christmas, and good luck if you’re joining the Linky Party!
