Hello again, friends! I’m so happy to be sharing inspiration with you more regularly at the moment! Today, I have another dragon-themed card to share, featuring one of the new digital stamps from RAM Stamps (it’s called “Year of the Dragon – Metal“).
This card was super simple to make. For my background, I grabbed a piece of watercolour paper, then sprinkled onto it some Nuvo Shimmer powders in Green Parade, Lunar Rocket and Blue Blitz. I added a small amount of each powder (it goes a long way!) and then spritzed over the top of them with water (I use this spray bottle). I just kept adding more water until I was happy with the effect, then I set it aside to dry.
I coloured my image with Copic markers, and finished them with white gel pen highlights. The colours I used were:
Greens: YG07, YG03, YG21
Yellows: Y06, Y02, Y00
Blue-greens (shield): BG49, BG23, BG10
Sword: C5, C3, C0
I fussy cut both the dragon and the sentiment using precision scissors, then added them with foam squares.
I adhered my panel to a card base with tape runner, and this super simple card was done. I love the shimmer and shine in the background, I think it really complements the “metal” theme of the image!
