Hi everyone! This cute Animal Number digital stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller is now also available as clear stamp at MFT! If you need a different number, no worries! Rachelle released a whole line which you can find here. To color this Number Two cutie, I took a class at Kit and Clowder, in which you learn to color numbers as if they are foil balloons. I thought this looked so awesome, I wanted to give it a try myself!
The coloring class I followed was a bonus class from 2019, which unfortunately is/will be retired. I really loved following the class, and Alyce explains things very well. It was also more challenging than I anticipated at the start, which is a good thing, as that means there is something to learn!
For this card, I first printed the no-line version of Animal Number Two Bears digital stamp on Perfect Colouring paper. After that, I colored the image with my Copic markers.
- Pink: RV55, RV52, RV000
- Teal: BG05, BG45, BG11
- Bears: E71, E74, E77, R22, R20, R000
- Green: G24, G20
- Shadows: C5, C3, C1, C0
As I used the no-line version of the digital stamp, I also had to draw in some thin lines like the balloon strings. For that I used Polychromos pencils in the color Payne’s Grey.
After die cutting the scene with a rectangle die, I stamped the sentiment underneath the image. The sentiment is from the Simply Said stamp from Clearly Besotted, which I stamped with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers. On the cardbase, I adhered Ripe Raspberry and Caribean Sea cardstock from MFT, which I die cut with the Blanket Stitch die from Pinkfresh Studio. On top of that I adhered the colored scene.
I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. I encourage you to check out the coloring classes of Alyce as she is an amazing teacher. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
