Hi friends, thanks for joining me again! Today I have a super cute image to share, which has just been released today by RAM Stamps. It’s called Forest Sounds, and when I saw it, it reminded me of something…
So, I don’t know about you, but I get cardmaking inspiration from everywhere. A sunset, the pattern on a floor tile… the list goes on. But today’s inspiration was somewhat more unusual, as it came from one of my daughter’s Peppa Pig books! To see what I mean, check out the YouTube video below!
It’s a slightly longer video than usual, because as well as talking about my design inspiration, I show you my absolute must-have craft tool – my swatch binder.
To create my card, I ink blended the background and added some drops of water for texture and interest. I die cut my birch trees in pearlescent silver and warm grey and offset them, before adding to my background.
I coloured my images with Copics in the following colours:
Pinks: R85, R83, R81
Purples: V99, V95, V93
Flute: C3, C0
Hair: E27, E25, E23
Skin: E13, E11, E000
Bunnies: E44, E43, E41 (tails in C3/C0)
And of course, I finished with white gel pen highlights. I fussy cut my images and added them with foam tape.
Finally, I heat embossed my sentiment from MFT’s *** stamp set on to warm grey cardstock, using white embossing powder, and added with liquid glue.
