Hey, how are you? Today, I’m sharing a sweet little card from the latest Rachelle Anne Miller release. The stamp is called “Be Kind” and features another positive message, designed by Rachelle for her daughters! I love this sentiment, so I really wanted it to stand out.
I hope you enjoy this card – if you would like to purchase anything from RAM Stamps, I’d be grateful if you used my affiliate link (here: https://rachelleannemiller.com/?ref=ll1e6ukqvy), which gives me a small commission, at no additional cost to you! Thank you for your support 🙂
I chose to print my stamp in the “no line” option, which Rachelle offers with all of her images. I started with the sentiment, and I used an embossing pen from Wow! Embossing to trace over the words (after I’d dusted the area with anti-static powder). I then applied Wow’s Super Fine Bright White embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool.
I then coloured the heart using Copic markers, and while the ink was still wet, wiped any off the embossed sentiment. The colours I used for the heart and the mouse are set out below:
Mice: W5/W3/W1/10, R20 (cheeks), R32/R20 (ears)
Hearts: R27/R24/R22/R20
Flower: R22/R20, YG03
(Scrapbook Pal seem to have a good price for Copics – here).
To turn my image into a finished card. I used the Post Card Die from The Stamp Market to cut my image out, and then to cut a background panel from red patterned paper (I used the Colorful Canvas patterned paper from MFT Stamps). I then took an A2 card base, and ran it through my die cutting machine with the post card stamp, making sure that on the top folded edge, the die hung over the edge so it would only cut around the other three sides, and protect the fold. I used tape runner to adhere my panel to the card base.
To finish my card, I applied some Glossy Accents to the smaller hearts.
