Penguin Hug by Miriam

Hi crafty friends and once again thank you for visiting my card corner. I am so pleased that you are hear and I thank you for your support. Today I am so happy to be back with another design team post for RAM Stamps. Just when you though the images couldn’t get any cuter, I am using the most adorable Penguin Hug stamp. I have been meaning to colour this image for a while now, to me it’s just perfect. There are plenty of design team posts using this image on the RAM Stamps website, so be sure to have a look and gain some more inspiration.

So let’s get started on today’s card. I re-sized and printed the image using my Pixma printer then printed the image onto some cheap printer paper and cut it out to create a mask. I adhered the mask with temporary tape and moved onto the background.

I wanted this card to be very soft in it’s colouring, so I ink blended Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac and Lost Shadow Distress Oxide inks and splattered with white gouache paint. I then removed the mask and coloured this image using Copic markers. For this colouring I have used the following colour combinations –

BV13, 02, 00, W5, 3, 1, 0, 00, YR07, 04, R30, RV00, 000

Once the colouring was complete and dry, I die cut the panel using a dotted rectangle die and adhered it to a top folding card base that measures 4.25 x 5.5 inches. I then die cut the Merry word die from Mama Elephant three times. Once they were all glued together, I adhered it above the image to complete the card.

That finishes the card for today. I love the soft, gentle colours and hope that it might inspire you to get crafty soon.

Thanks again for visiting……. xx

Disclosure – As a member of the RAM Stamps design team, the image used in this card has been gifted to me, free of charge. All other products used in this card have been purchased in full by myself.
