Rachelle Anne Miller Animal Number: Seven Frogs

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing another clean and simple card I made using the adorable digital stamp Animal Number: Seven Frogs from Rachelle Anne Miller.

Printing and Coloring

I started by sizing the image in Adobe Photoshop. Then I printed the image onto some white cardstock and again twice on masking paper. I set the masking paper aside and started the coloring the image with the following alcohol markers:

Darker Frogs: GY5, GY4, GY7 (Ohuhu)
Lighter Frogs: GY4, GY7, GY172 (Ohuhu)
Number: BG68, BG4 (Ohuhu)
Lily Pad: G28, G24, G21 (Copic)
Rock: W1, W0, W00 (Copic)

Creating the background

I cut the images from the masking papers and placed them over the coordinating colored images and water. Then I used Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass over MFT’s Slimline Cloud Edges Stencil to create a cloud background. I applied another mask over the sky background and lightly blended Distress Oxide in Speckled Egg over the water area. Once I was done, I peeled off the masks to reveal the entire background. To finish, I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant’s Mixed Wishes Greetings to the left of the image.

Finishing the card

I positioned the second largest die from MFT’s Elegant Rectangle STAX Die-namics over the colored image and ran it through my die-cutting machine. Then, I used the largest die to cut out another rectangle from white cardstock. I glued the rectangle with the design onto the white rectangle and searched for some patterned paper that would coordinate with the colors on my card. Once I found it, I cut out an A2 size rectangle using Waffle Flower’s A2 Layers Die and glued the other rectangles onto it. I finished the card by gluing the card front onto an A2 size card base.

I used number seven for this card, but Rachelle Anne Miller has an entire collection numbered from one to ten on her website. You can buy them individually, or you can buy the entire collection. They are all beautifully illustrated designs that are perfect for birthday cards, so check them out!

Thank you so much for stopping by! – Mona
