Canadian Beavers by Stefanie

Hi friends! I’m sharing a card today that I made for Father’s Day, but I think the image will work well for many occasions like regular thank you cards and birthdays! It is called Canadian Beavers.

To create the card, I printed the image and colored it with the following Copics and Ohuhus(O).

Beaver brown: E43, 42, 41
Beaver belly: E42, 41, 40
Beaver tail/nose: E47, 44, 43
Beaver cheeks: R30, 000
Wood: E59, 57, 23, 35
Leaves: GY4(O), GY7(O), GY172(O)

The image was fussy cut and adhered to the background using foam tape for dimension. Although I cut out the individual leaves surrounding the main image, I adhered them to the same place they were in Rachelle’s original image.

The background was created using a distress oxide in Salvaged Patina (I finally got this color and I love it!). So you can expect to see a lot more of it. :)

I also added some splatter in the same color and used a gel pen for additional “splatter” as well as highlights. Sometimes I’m not feeling lucky with organic splatter and opt for a more controlled method!

The sentiment is from Pawsome Stamps’ Hey Pumpkin stamp set. The background is die cut using one of Lawn Fawn’s stitched rectangles and adhered to a white A2 card base.
