Fishing with Bear by Brenda

Hello, crafty friends!! I hope your week is going well!!

I have a sweet card to share with you today for Rachelle Anne Miller!! We are currently on a fishing trip!! For Christmas last year we gifted my dad a guided fishing trip to a lake in Mississippi!! So my husband and dad are going out with a guide early in the week and my mom and I will be trying to find some little shops to go to!! So I guess it was a Christmas gift for everyone…ha! My dad’s birthday is coming up in October, so this card will be perfect!!

I began by printing the Fishing With Bear digital stamp onto white cardstock with the black outline option. I colored the image in the following colors of Copic markers:

  • Red: R39, R29, R27, R24
  • Boat & cattails: E29, E27, E25, E23
  • Green: YG63, YG61
  • Gray: C5, C3, C1
  • Bear: E47, E44, E43, E42
  • Skintone: E13, E11, YR00, YR000
  • Blue: B00, B000, B0000
  • Cheeks & ears: R32

I die-cut the panel with a rectangle die and adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock, then to a white, top-folding card base. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape.

I added some shine to the eyes with a black glaze pen and highlights with a white gel pen and this card was finished!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you soon!
