Sun Song by Mona

Hi friends! The weather is finally cooler where I live, and I love it! I feel the happiest when the weather is cool and it’s very bright and sunny outside. Today’s card features Sun Song by Rachelle Anne Miller and it definitely captures that bright and cheerful feeling!

To make this card, I sized and printed out the images. Next, I cut them out with my Brother Scan-N-Cut. I cut out two hearts using Lawn Fawn’s Say What gift tags. Then, I used the following Copic markers to color everything:

Sun: Y15, Y13, Y11, Y00, R20, R00
Bird: B02, B00, B0000
Heart: RV25

To make the card front, I arranged Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Square die over a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of white card stock. Then, I ran everything through my die-cutting machine. Next, I stamped a sentiment from My Favorite Things Mermaid For Each Other stamp set underneath the window. Then, I set the card panel aside and began working on the cloud background for the window. I took another 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of white card stock and lightly marked the window opening area with a pencil. I used this as a guide and laid down Lawn Fawn’s Cloudy Stencil. Then, I used Distress Ink in Salty Ocean over the stencil and created a cloud background so it would fill the window opening.

I assembled the card by adding the window panel to the piece with the cloud background. Then, I arranged the images within and around the window to finish the card.

I love how cheerful this card is, and I can’t wait to send it to a friend to brighten their day! Thanks so much for stopping by! – Mona
