Trick or Treat Mouse by Miriam

Hi crafty friends, thank you for stopping by to visit my card corner, I really appreciate it!! Today it is new release day over at RAM Stamps and it’s time to get spooky. Yes, it’s a Halloween themed release this month. For my first card of the release I will be featuring the super cute Trick Or Treat Mouse digital stamp. So let’s get started……

To start I created a card base to measure 4.25 x 5.5 inches using Sour Apple cardstock from My Favorite Things and then a slightly smaller panel using white cardstock. On an additional piece of white cardstock I created the background. I cut a circle from masking paper and added it to the panel and then ink blended Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion inks. I then splattered the panel with clean water and then with gouache and finally I sprayed with glitter mist. I set the panel aside to dry.

I moved on to the images. I printed the Trick Or Treat Mouse digital stamp using my Pixma printer and then coloured with Copic markers. Once dry I fussy cut the images and set them aside. For today’s card I have used the following Copic colours –

YG07, 05, 03, 01, YR09, 07, 04, 02, W4, W2, W00, W0, C8, 6, 4, 2, 0, BV00, V17, 15, 12, V01, V000, V0000, R30.

To finish of the background, I remove the masking paper to reveal the moon. I then highlight the edge of the circle where it meets the ink blending with the V shades of Copic makers mentioned above and draw some odd shapes to create craters on the moon. I go over the crater shapes with the colourless blender to mute them down.

I glue the images to the background panel and then glue this panel to the card base.

This completes the card for today. I hope you have loved seeing how this card has come to life and love it as much as I do. I have to say, I am really happy with this one!! I hope you will be inspired to get crafty some time soon.

Thanks again for visiting xx
