Making more holiday cards today using products by RAM Stamps (Rachelle Anne Miller). These digital files are easy to download and use same day!
My first card features the Woodland Santa digital stamp. I downloaded, printed and colored this cute scene all in the same day. I love that! I use Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and the front 5″X 7″ panel of this A7 card. I positioned the design so that I could add die cuts, pattern paper and embossed panels to the front for more visual interest, too.
To make the scene, I used Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass to create the blue sky. I added darker dots of blue using my Copics in B02 and B41 and some black watercolor paint. This keeps the sky whimsical and adds depth.
Next, I die cut the Honey Bee Stamps Birch Tree Trunks out of white cardstock using the Birch A2 Cover Plate Base Die. I glued it in place at the top, then cut out the birch trunks that would be behind the Woodland Santa objects and gluing those trunks down last. I shadowed the birch trees with a W3 and W1 on the left sides to make them look a bit more rounded and dimensional.
I added an embossed panel at the bottom using the new Kaleidoscope Embossing Folder by Honey Bee Stamps. It’s so pretty! I used the same white cardstock to match the card base. A simple strip of black and white pattern paper from one of my paper packs (MFT I believe) and a “Merry Christmas” tag by Simon Says Stamp finishes off this card! I love these quick sentiment strips – no heat embossing required. They are quick and easy and you get a lot of them in one pack that is under $6.00.
In addition to the embossing folder, you can shop the entire Honey Bee Stamps Make It Merry release here.
