Pirate Treasure by Gemma

Today I have a sneak peek to share of a soon to be released digi stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller. This fun Pirate Treasure image is part of a 4 stamp digi release arriving on Thursday 8th July.

I printed the black line digi stamp on white card with 50% opacity, at 100% size. There is a no-line image included when you purchase, if you prefer that look.

I think the lovely RAM illustrations really suit colouring pencils as it gives the look of a storybook page. I coloured the image with faber castell colouring pencils and, as I love to see the pencil marks, I didn’t use any blending solution.

For the jewels in the treasure chest, I used some sparkle and metallic gel pens. Although it’s difficult to capture the shine in the photos, they really catch the light in real life.

Once the image was coloured in, I die cut the card with a large stitched square and stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Ahoy Matey stamp set.

To create a distressed treasure map style background, I stamped images from the Lawn Fawn Ahoy Matey stamp set with frayed burlap distress oxide ink on Kraft card.

I blended some distress ink around the edges, then flicked it with watered down frayed burlap distress oxide ink. I also added some gold perfect pearls splatters.

I adhered the Kraft card to a square card base, followed by the image panel to finish.

Don’t forget to check out the new release from RAM on Thursday 8th July. I’ve added a link to the store and will update the post with direct links below, once the release goes live.
