Hello friends, it’s great to see you here again, thank you for stopping by. For me it’s never too early to start my Christmas and winter cards and this year I was determined to get started earlier than usual. So today it’s all about snowy fun with this cute Snow Much Fun stamp from RAM Stamps (Rachelle Anne Miller).
I started off by creating the card base using Neenah 110lb cardstock and printing the image onto Neenah 80lb cardstock. I added in a couple of extra snow banks with a Copic Fineliner pen.
I moved on to colouring the image with Copic markers. I have never used these pinky/purple colours together before, but I like the results. I coloured the snow banks with a mixture of blues and then went over then lightly with the Copic colourless blender just to soften the colour and the edges. Today I used the following colours:
Hair – E57, E55, E53
Skin – E21, E51, E50, R20
Scarf – BG78, BG49, BG45, BG01
Coat – RV99, RV95, RV93, RV91
Snow – B000, B0000, B60
Ice Skates – T5, T3, T1
Bucket – T7, T5, T3, T1
I then ink blended Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks to create a sky, making sure to have light and dark areas in an uneven pattern. Once completely dry I splattered with white gouache paint and added extra snow and highlights with a white gel pen.
I then die cut the panel using the Torn Paper Edges Die-namics from My Favorite Things and adhered it to the card base with foam tape. To finish the card I added a few dots of sparkle gel.
I hope you love today’s card. Have you started your Christmas cards yet?
